About YWDF
Our History
The Young Women in Democracy Forum (YWDF) was formed to ensure that young women play a central role in shaping Sierra Leone’s democratic future. Formerly known as the Young Women in Politics Network, it is now a vibrant coalition led by young women from all 16 districts.
Launched under the Campaign for Good Governance (CGG), YWDF was created to build on the legacy of older women leaders while preparing the next generation to take up leadership roles. It emerged from a need to ensure continuity in the fight for gender equality and democratic governance.
